Notes on TCID Cross Validation-Northwest Pacific, 1962

1) Typhoon data in ATR are on p. 59-221.  TD data is on p. 54-56.  TS data is on p. 52-53.

2) The ATR does not have best track intensity data.

3) TD data was not in the ATCF, it has been added as storm numbers WP5162-WP5962.  This data does not include intensity.

4) The ATR has some aircraft fixes.

5) The JTWC's warnings are part of the ATR best track data.

6) According to 1962's ATR (p.49-50), there were a total of 90 tropical cyclone related events including typhoon , tropical storm, tropical depression and investigation.  There is no alphanumeric data for investigations.
